Akron Canton Airport is the main transportation access point to Akron, Canton and the central Ohio region, and it serves 1.5 million passengers each year. Akron Canton Airport is a small facility that has recently been upgraded and modernized. The result is a user-friendly terminal, with Arrivals and most of the departures concourses accessible from the same level; only the new departures concourse requires passengers to take an escalator or elevator to the second floor. The terminal has an ATM machine, Traveline travel agency, airport information desk, gift shop and four combination restaurants/bars. Shopping options are in short supply at Akron Canton, so pick up whatever you need before going to the airport. The only shop is a gift store that offers a good range of quality souvenirs. There is no duty-free shopping at the airport.

Akron Canton has four eateries located in the atrium food court. There's a Subway and Grill for those wanting something substantial, while a sports bar, coffee shop and snack bar offer light meals and refreshments.

Akron Canton Airport is easy to use for disabled visitors and most facilities are located on one level. Skycaps assistants can help disabled people from their vehicles to the terminal, while airlines have wheelchairs available. The free airport parking shuttle is lift-equipped and disabled parking is located right next to the shuttle stops in the long-term and economy lots. There are modified toilets, telephones and elevators throughout the terminal and the airport information desk offers paging services for the hearing impaired.
